Absorbine Ultrashield
UltraShield®, the most technically advanced insecticide and repellent, provides the ultimate protection for your horse. It repels flies, mosquitoes, and gnats on horses for up to 14 days. Fly spray note: Natural Pyrethrins and synthetic Pyrethroids kill and repel in the same manner. They are tactile, that is, the fly must land to be repelled and to pick up the insecticide in order to be killed. The spray does not produce an invisible shield around the treated animal to repel flies. The fly will land on the horse, but will not stay to bite. This contact with the insecticide repels the fly and later kills it by attacking its central nervous system.

Barrier
Barrier is a combination of Grape Seed Meal, Distiller Grains,Diatomaceous Earth, Garlic Powder, and Thiamine B-1that create a barrier from pesky insects.
Garlic and Thiamine B-1 contain sulphur compounds that when ingested, creates a barrier on the surface of the skin. Typically insects a very sensitive to the sulphur odor, even at levels undetectable to humans, thus they are unwilling to land on the animal.
Grape Seed Meal is exceptionally high in antioxidants. In fact, it has the highest reading among plant seeds and is almost 1,000 times higher than the grape itself. It improves the integrity of the skin, making it more difficult for insects to bite.
Diatomaceous Earth is deadly to an insect, but completely harmless to animals. Diatomaceous Earth is non-toxic, crushed fossils of freshwater organisms and marine life. When you observe Diatomaceous Earth under a microscope, the particles resemble shards of broken glass. These particles, with their sharp edges, pierce the protective coating of parasites and insect larvae. In some instances, as much as 4 oz. of Diatomaceous Earth can be fed to a 1,000 lb horse for both internal and external parasites and insect control. Much less is found in Barrier, making it completely safe, yet still effective.
Distillers Grain is an important ingredient. As a carrier for the other ingredients in Barrier, it contains protein, fat, minerals and vitamins. Distillers Grain is a by-product of dry mill ethanol production. Very Safe! Very Effective! Very Affordable!
When starting this product, give at the rate of 30 grams (1 scoop) or more daily for 2 to 3 weeks. Following that, maintain at a rate of 15 grams (1/2 scoop) or more daily. Feeding at the maintenance level of 15 grams (1/2) scoop daily 1.81 kg ( 4 lb ) container will last approximately 120 days.
